Moral teaching : Australia is a very new country compared with China , but why it is a developed country while ours is a developing one ?

multimedia education software

1.Content understanding through reading and listening and questioning
2.Vocabulary study in real-situation sentences
3.Oral practice of the content of the text
IV Teaching crux :
1. 1. older / elder
e.g. Is the girl over there your elder sister?
Who is the older of you two students ?
2. be suitable for : be fit for
e.g. The suit is too big to fit you .
The design of the clothes is for girls , so it is not suit you.
Anyone who is not fit for his office will lose his job very soon , for the society is now full of competition and serious struggle .
That job doesn’t suit you at all , for it needs a person who should be very careful and at the same time , he must be very bright .
3.be intended for : be prepared for or sth made specially for
e.g . The chair which is in the middle of the first line and in the front of the
room was intended for the chairman of the conference .
The days when school education is intended only for the boys havepassed for ever and will never come back again .
What do you intend to do doing next after you have finished your work?

She was very experienced at finding drugs , despite how secret the drugs have been hidden .
Her experiences in the war become very precious properties in dealing with all kinds of criminals .
Once you experience the difficulty of working on the farm , you will never come back again .

e.g. As every one has known , cats really feed on fish .
My mother liked to feed our dog with all kinds of bones .
It is not necessary to feed some fish food to the gold fish , or some might be killed because of over eaten .
The old lady got no sons , so she had to depend on her daughter .
V Teaching steps :
Step 1 : Presentation : multimedia showing : scenes of Australia
Discussion : History and geography introduction
Revision : Cook’s discovery of the new continent
Step 2 : Listening with the following questions put forward before( lesson 10)
a. a. When did the first people come to Australia and how ?
b. b. What kind of life did Kooris develop in Australia ?
c. c. What kind of situation are Kooris facing ?
Step 3 : Listening with the following questions put forward before ( lesson 11)
a. a. Why Australia has so many unusual animals that can’t be found in some other places ?
b. b. What kind of country is Australia compared with other countries ?
c. c. What kind of climate does Australia have ?
Step 4 : Reading both Lesson 10 & 11 with the detailed questions answered in the students book .( they can be finished in two lesson periods )
Step 5 : Vocabulary explanation in real-situation sentences : the teacher is going to put some examples and students are asked to do the same and to make dialogues with those now words and expressions used in them .
( # lesson 10 & 11 will follow the same step )
Step 6 : Grammar : the –ing form
@ Use the verbs below in the Past Indefinite to complete the sentences .More than one verb can be used for most sentences .

Step 7 : Consolidation : retelling : ( which is divided into two parts , one is about the past of Australia , the other is about the new Australia ever since it was discovered and developed .
